Alan Tornsberg started dancing when he was 8 years old.. In 1987, his family moved to London, where he eventually lived for about 14 years Alan's first partner was [Vibeke Toft], Danish, too.

The first performance of Alan paired with Vibeke Toft took place at the Open Championship at Blackpool in 1987. He won all Major titles from 1991 -1993 including The German Open Amateur Championship, United Kingdom Open Amateur Championship, International Open Amateur Championship, British Open Rising Star Professional Championship.

In March 1996, he started dancing with Carmen Winchell. At the competition they represent Germany. Together, they won the tournament "German Open" in 1997 and won first prize at the "WDC World Professional South American Showdance" in 1997 Sveningene (Netherlands)

Another partner was Serena Lecca (Serena Lecca), with which they represented Italy. Along with it, they won the second place at the World Cup in the Kremlin in 1999. The following year, they became champions in the Open Professional Championship in the United States in the Latin American program. And in 2001, Alan and Serena won bronze medals at the World Championship among professionals.

Alan was left without a partner in the middle of touring shows and Vibeke Toft turned out that the only one that was able to solve this problem. But Vibeke wanted to begin again to participate in competitions and Alan, wanting to do something really good for her, agreed. They were made in 2002 in St. Petersburg, with a final performance at the European championship in Latin program among professionals, which took fourth place.

Coach, referee Alan Tornsberg now recognized as a very honest and fair judge in various international competitions, including the World Championship of Latin American dances. Also, it is known as a judge on the television Danish dance show "Dancing with the stars" from the 2006-2011 year. In addition, he worked as a choreographer on the show from 2007 to 2009, and was the choreographer of the show "So You Think You Can Dance" in Ukraine in 2010. Alan won in the nomination "The Best Teacher" in 2005 and 2008 in London.

It is said that the inspiration Alan Tornsberg throughout his dance career drew from the real world: music, partner, variety shows, but as a teacher the greatest impact on Alan had Walter Laird.
