Steven Mesh has over 15 years of competitive dance experience and a deep commitment to developing dancers from beginner to high level competitors. He is the organizer of the Liberty Ball and one of the directors of the Spotlight Dance Center located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA).


Steven Mesh is a Professional Ballroom dancer, coach, adjudicator, and choreographer. He has top placements at a number of major DanceSport competitions nationally, and has traveled to represent the United States in international competitions.

Steven has worked with many world recognized coaches and has achieved fellowship level accreditation from the North American Dance Teachers Association in both adjudicating and instruction. He is also a certified WDSF Adjudicator.

In 2004, Steven opened Spotlight Dance Center, which grew into one of the leading dance studios in the Philadelphia and South Jersey area. He has coached several top couples in the world of competitive Ballroom and Latin dance. Steven is also the founder of Project Spotlight, a non-profit development program for elementary, middle, and high school students that uses Ballroom dancing as a vehicle to change the lives of the children and their families, reaching thousands of adolescents each year.

Steven is a USA Dance member and the organizer of the Liberty Ball Dance Competition.

Recently, Steven came together with Ilya and Amanda Reyzin to combine Spotlight Dance Center with Rhythm DanceSport Center. Together, they now run under one studio, Spotlight Dance Center. The center is run in two locations, one in Huntingdon Valley and the other on Jamison Ave, Philadelphia (PA).

WikiDanceSport has been created for the DanceSport community to collaboratively organize and promote this sport throughout the world. Anyone who can access this site can edit most of its articles and create new ones.
