Definition

The BDF Star Championships (originally known as The Star Championships) is a competition hosted in England, currently organized by the Ballroom Dancers' Federation. It used to be one of the most prestigious events of its time, supported by the Star Newspaper from 1925 to 1931. In 1938, the event was resumed. However, it never reached its former level of prestige again.

Location

The original Star Championships were held in the famous Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Later the Championship was held in the Great Room of the Grosvenor House on Park Lane together with a dinner dance called the Star Ball. Today, the BDF Star Championships are currently held in the Wasall Town Hall in Walsall, England.
