During the difficult times of the Coronavirus worldwide epidemic, Igor Golovach & Alessandro Scalora decided to take the time to unite people from all over the world of the beautiful DanceSport industry. Instructors, choreographers, and dancers alike joined us to share their thoughts on staying strong and positive during this global crisis, sharing their advice on fighting on and not losing hope, sending their messages of support and aspiration. Thus, the project of DanceSport - Stay United was formed.
The City DanceSport Challenge is an annual NDCA sanctioned DanceSport competition held at the Altman Building in New York City since 2011, organized by Paul Holmes and Jamie Nyemchek.
Christine McDonald is a former Professional ballroom dancer, specializing in International Style Standard. With husband Brian McDonald, she is a former 3-time Scottish National Amateur Champion, a 3-time European Professional Standard finalist, a European Professional Standard runner-up, as well as a 4-time United States National Professional Standard Champion. Christine has also been one of the organizers of the Embassy Ballroom Championships (Embassy Ball) since 1980 and has been inducted into the Millennium DanceSport Championships Hall of Fame in 2012.
The Caucasus Cup is a sanctioned 3-day Georgian National DanceSport Federation competition, recognized by the World DanceSport Federation(WDSF). Hosted in Tbilisi, Georgia by (GNDSF) team, Presindent: George Gachechiladze and vice President: Vano Kandelaki. The 2018 Caucasus Cup includes various WDSF sanctioned events such as the WDSF World Open, (Standard and Latin), WDSF events for PD, Senior 1, Youth, Juniors and also WDSF World Under 21 Latin Championship.
Zdenek Fencak is a former Professional Ballroom dancer specializing in both the Standard and Latin dance styles. Zdenek has represented two countries during his competitive career - Austria and the Czech Republic. Currently, with wife and partner Jana Fencak, he is the owner of the Starstep Dance Studio located in Třebíč, Czech Republic, where he trains National Champions of various age groups. Aside from being a National Adjudicator of the Czech Dance Sport Federation, he is also an "A" and "PD" Licensed WDSF Adjudicator.
Brian McDonald, known for his contribution, devotion and dedication to ballroom dancing in the United States and worldwide, is a former Professional ballroom dancer, specializing in International Style Standard. With wife Christine McDonald, he is a former 3-time Scottish National Amateur Champion, a 3-time European Professional Standard finalist, a European Professional Standard runner-up, as well as a 4-time United States National Professional Standard Champion. Brian has been the President of the National Dance Council of America since 1994 and one of the organizers of the Embassy Ballroom Championships since 1980.
The Liberty Ball is a one-day competition hosted annually in Pennsylvania (USA) since 2015 around the months of October/November.
The Manhattan Amateur Classic Championship is a DanceSport competition hosted annually in the Manhattan/New York. The MAC is qualifying event for USA Dance National DanceSport Championships.
The Baltic Grand Prix is a sanctioned 3-day Latvian Dance Sport Federation competition, recognized by the World DanceSport Federation (WDSF). Hosted in Riga, Latvia, organized by Aigars Svars.. The 2017 Baltic Grand Prix includes various WDSF sanctioned events such as the WDSF World Open, WDSF International Open, as well as WDSF World Championships.
The Mid-Atlantic Championships is a sanctioned USA Dance three-days competition hosted annually in Maryland (USA), around the months of February. The Mid-Atlantic Championships is a qualifying competition for the USA Dance National DanceSport Championships in Baltimore, MD.
