A former Austrian and Latvian Professional Latin Champion, Aigars is currently one of the directors of the National Dance Council of Canada. He is also a world class adjudicator for the World Dance Council and a national adjudicator for the country of Canada.

His accomplishments include becoming a Professional WDC European Latin Champion, WDC World Series Professional Latin Champion, an 11-time Blackpool Professional Latin Finalist and a multi-time Slovenian National Champion with over 23 National titles.
